Dear Architects, a fitting first "real" post

As no doubt you have probably read (through blog or forward) this great article entitled "Dear Architects, I am sick of your shit.", written by Annie Choi for Pidgin Magazine (the graduate-run publication of Princeton's SOA).

It's a really fun read and is generating quite a bit of discussion and reactions, on Annie's own site as well as elsewhere.

Judging by the response, i'd say Mrs. Choi might have stumbled on to something!

So it begins...BLOG LAUNCH!

Well, everyone wants to make a blog these days, and for just about anything. So, having the blogging itch myself, I decided to start one too! (Blogger just makes it so damn easy).

Keeping with the theme of taking the easiest route possible, usually when you blog, its best to do it about something you do anyways. For me, that would be talking about ARCHITECTURE, and making JOKES.

Now I know, I know--seeing those two words together might send all of our stoic architectural faithfuls into cardiac arrest, but let me assure you, not only is it possible to combine those two things, but it's also, dare I say, good.

I have investigated contemporary architecture discourse thoroughly, and developed this complex equation to explain the experiential quality of such work:

TALKING ABOUT ARCHITECTURE + HUMOR = :)

TALKING ABOUT ARCHITECTURE - HUMOR = :(

So now that is settled, let's go blog!
